Setting Our Minds for Our Study on Peter
As we have stated in our Wednesday evening bible study: The Apostle Peter, we are “setting the table,” so to speak, to set up the mood of the day.
I ask you to read 2nd Chronicles 36 and if you have the gumption, the book of Daniel also. These verses from the bible have some rich history we can go over to better help us understand what Israel and Judah in particular just went through that shapes their thinking and atitudes during Peter’s day.
If you read the book of Daniel, pay particular attention to the dreams of both the king of Babylon and Daniel himself because they both cover the world empires that will be of interest to us.
